Following the trend set in late June, July’s weather turned out to be an exceptionally hot. Not good news for the countryside, with a severe wildfire in the Cwm Bychan area devastating the mountainside, and elsewhere our usually green hills and valleys parched and brown. On the whole, though, it was good news for our walk leaders, with plenty of good walking weather. Photo’s this month are from Dave’s Rhinog Fach walk, Jacky’s ascent of Glaswm, Rita’s walk above Arthog, a visit with Jacky to the little lakes of Cerrig y Myllt (a walk postponed from late June when the weather was simply too hot for walking) and Carol’s walk from Cregennen Lakes to Tyrrau Mawr.

Many thanks to this month's photographers. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
